Anyone had much success with merchants datafeeds?

I've experimented slightly in the past with datafeeds usually on niche sites, and have always been able to generate a trickle of traffic, enough for each site to cover their costs etc.

I'm always experimenting with ways on making the content appear as unique as possible, but anything manual is just impossible, and automated methods are tricky to implement globally as of course the quality of feed and data contained within each one is different.

For my latest datafeed experiment i'm adding a section onto an established and reasonably ranking site, will be interesting to see the results once i've got some pages indexed, the longterm plan on this one is to implement hundreds of merchants datafeeds, for dual purposes, a) internal linking and b) hopefully more traffic.

From each product you should be able to create an unique page maybe via a bit of code, you could have a table within your database that has a choice of descriptions for that category either the code choose it randomly or via a fixed method.

Also i removed your link to your from my site as the link to me disappeared, when you did your redirect.

Have you tried using some software magicparser perfect for reading xml, csv etc feeds.

I have completely rewritten my site to allow me to bring out new ideas and accommodate all affiliate networks and discount code and offers.

Do these feeds allow you to include an affiliate code so that you get your comission and yet automate the process of inputting content/products on your site?

Does magicparser just parse the xml feed onto a page or can it parse the XMl feed and insert it into/update a database?

I'm in the process of developing a gadgets site that uses datafeedr which is a pretty comprehensive wordpress plugin but comes at a monthly fee. I'm going to trial it for a while to see if it pays for itself. The problem is I need to work out how I can use it to make the pages as unique as possible. I think it will allow custom templates to be setup at category level so these could be developed into bespoke landing pages.
