Well Matt, that is one of the things I am trying to say all the time, and people think that I am nuts.  Undecided

Oh! And read my comment to this video: http://www.youtube.com/comment_servlet?all_comments&v=PNEipHjsEPU&fromurl=/watch%3Fhl%3Dde%26v%3DPNEipHjsEPU%26gl%3DDE

I don't think any of those statements contradict any of the other statements, whoever put that blog together seems to have been looking for contradictions and seeing them where they don't exist.

It's not hard to understand this advice "build sites for humans but don't do it in ways that might confuse the bots if you want your site to rank".  How is that contradictory?  WHy would they try to confuse on purpose, it benefits no one.

Too many people have a 'big brother' compex about Google.  Google is a business, pure and simple, and it does well because it tries to offer a good quality product.  To that end, every single bit of advice or guideline that they give us is intended to improve the quality of their product and I have absolutely no problem with that.  Google provide me with an opportunity to earn money.

I know what theyre trying to say but its easy to see how others might get confused.

I dont see any reason to not believe matt c when he says things that make perfect sense. It seems the fashion now-a-days is to dismiss everything he says as propaganda. But we all follow the google guidelines... sort of... so why shouldnt we follow matts guidelines.

John, the stonetemple interview with matt keeps gettin referenced. Do you believe what he says there?

Lets make it simple. I can believe everything I am told, if I checked it out and found that it was right.

So allow me to make this short. The Pagerank Toolbar is being updated. Some examples:

seoworkers.com had PR 5 and now has PR 6. (my site)
webnauts.net had PR 6 and now has also PR 6. (my site)
seomoz.org had PR 6 and now has also PR 6.
highrankings.com had PR 6 and now has also PR 6.
seobook.com had PR 6 and now has also PR 6.
bruceclay.com had PR 6 and has is PR 5.
seochat.com had PR 6 and now has PR 4.

 laugh

If all internet users and/or professionals of this planet think that my practices are wrong, or that I do not understand how the web or search engines work, I honestly don't care brother. Wink

I will go on with my research, and go on implementing my evidence-based best practices. Wink

Over and Out.  Tongue

No! It is hard to understand how can someone build a web site for humans in a way that might confuse bots. I hope were just kidding buddy. laugh

Oh and by the way, read my comment to another video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIn5qJKU8VM&feature=channel

If you are a professional designer or SEO, I do not need to explain any further. Basta!  Roll Eyes

and what I find most interesting out of all this is that SEO chat at PR4 outranks the whole list above it by a country mile.

I fully agree. That is the evidence that off-page optimization is not the miracle when it comes to rankings.

The guys on the photo above would disagree, but....  laugh

good figures John.

what kind of conversion rates do you get (ie clients) from that? at 1 in 1000 you must still be getting 15 to 20 new clients a month?
