Love these guys - =http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/Open Site Explorer

Aside from the fact that it tells you really clearly which links are nofollowed, it also doesn't get it's info from Yahoo site explorer (apparantly) which means that when Yahoo yank their link tool we won't be left in the lurch since most link analysis tools use it.

SEOmoz does a lot of mathematical analysis regarding SEO and developed their own metrics. If you read through some of their older blog posts you can see how they developed certain metrics.

How do you find out about this stuff?  I usually spend some time every morning browsing forums and checking out news feeds to stay up to date but it clearly doesn't always work, what's your method?

Erm. Well the SEOmoz pro membership things not a big secret really! A company that I did some outsourced SEO work last year used their link analysis tool for SEO audits. So I got an account setup so I could continue producing work in their format. So it was more out of necessity than choice.  Cool

I know about SEOMoz, I've had pro member ship with thme for over a year, I'm talking about the link tool, I thought you meant you'd had a pro membership for that for 6 months, were you just talking about SEOMoz?

Aaah right. I was a little confused that you hadnt heard of SEOmoz pro accounts before! The data on this new tool is just the same info you get on one of their backlink reports in the pro area.

And I thought you'd known about the link tool for 6 months before I found out about it, not surprisinlgy I was interested how!  It's the one thing I miss about working in an office, having peers to talk things over with.  Don't miss anything else though.

You can use synonyms though and re-write the content a bit...
