This ad ran during the Super Bowl last night:

http://msn.foxsports.com/video/shows/2010_super_bowl_commercials?vid=f0aab814-4dca-4ae5-8920-af71d05e1287&from=foxsports_SuperBowlAds

I think this is the first time Google has ever run a big time advertisement, especially on TV.

This is exactly the kind of post wich Google is now cracking down on and it's the forums themselves that get the punishment.

Nice ad. But I guess it is not up to the Google's standard. It needs to be more fancy and more creative.

Fancy and creative? Google's whole strategy on appearance branding has been plain vanilla.

I saw Google advertising in the UK this week. And Bing followed the same night  laugh

It seems quite rare to see any TV advertising from a search engine, and I can't remember the last time I did see any. I guess they're both stepping up their game.

I've not seen Google advertising in the UK. Have you not seen the ask ads on TV conran? They seem to have been advertising for years now on the TV.

Bing seem to be marketing quite aggressively at the moment, i notice they now sponsor the Simpsons on Channel 4.
