Yahoo answers seems to be quite a good way of getting backlinks and small levels of traffic. It is an area I've been targetting recently for several clients, though the backlinks aren't active yet. How many posts does it take to get to level 2?

Ditto. So i just went and checked, picked a few threads randomly and all show as nofollow.

I'm sure I've seen dofollow links on there. I've probably got the wrong end of the stick again unless you have to get to a certain level before your links become dofollow. I wouldn't necessarily dismiss dropping links on Yahoo Answers just because they are nofollowed as it's going to help towards building a more natural link profile. OK, no link juice would be passed but I guess if you drop links in a targeted manner it could bring you some traffic. When I check the backlinks for competitors sites, yahoo answers often comes up. It doesn't take long to reply to a suitable question and it certainly isn't going to hurt you.

Yahoo Answers can be effective, but if you "link drop" you will likely get banned. You really need to develop quality answers.

Yahoo Answers is a good tool if you have a great expertise in your domain and provide valuable information to user. If you're only after some links, forget about it.

Comon SEOers, signup and get your links! Nobby - what percentage of pages (with unique content) get indexed? I would be interested but have got really fed up recently of getting unique articles submitted to pr2/3/4 article sites and then they NEVER get indexed even once I ping and create the odd sb or blog comment links to them. Seem to have spent HOURS recently with no results. If there's a fair chance of a post getting indexed, then I'll definitely be interested!!

We currently have 290 guides, ofc not all are unique, we currently have about 240 pages indexed, these are though not all article pages ofc. So the answer is, i cant give you an exact figure without counting, but as an estimate, i would say 60% or so.
As with any member from here, i will not only quick approve members articles, but i will stick them on feature, so they will get on the homepage a fair bit, hopefully that helps!
Feel free to pm me.
