SMS service is not such a powerful marketing tool as you might think it is. Spam is everywhere: email, mail, telephone etc so not doing this campaign right could bring you only minuses instead of advantages.

reputable businesses use sms marketing effectively to members and customers, unsolicited spamming is a state of mind, the technology you use to do it is immaterial.

Those are my 2 cents, I also receive several text messages monthly, I never got something interesting, just junk messages, that's what I was saying.
